Abstract: This paper provides reflection on preferences of online education by students in business higher education. This case study is based on survey of 1,184 students of a business university. The aim is to identify students' preferences in online education that impact their motivation to study. Analyses were to test the theoretical construct of factors that impact student preferences to continue their studies. Students' reflection on their experiences brings factors crucial to retain students. Results show preferences and motivation of students. Majority is oriented on new technologies, using modern features and education applications; women are oriented on flexibility of online delivery, but otherwise prefer standard contact with the school. All students need to stay in contact with the university as it brings numerous positive effects.
