Abstract: In the present study, ground source heat pump (GSHP) and cooling machine (GSCM) systems were designed and manufactured. In the constructed system, experiments were done to determine the optimum parameters of compressor frequency and indoor heat exchanger fan stage in terms of energy and exergy performances. Analyses were carried out for two different compressor frequencies (45 and 50 Hz) and five different fan stages (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10). It was concluded that the best system performance was obtained at 45 Hz frequency in cooling and at 50 Hz frequency in heating at the fan stage of 6.
