Agro ecological grounding for the application of metal nanopowders in agriculture

Abstract: The possibility of using nanoparticles of metals and their oxides in the agro-industrial complex is studied herein. Such parameters as concentration, size, chemical composition and production processes influencing nanoparticles' biological activity are reviewed. The influence of nanoparticles of ferrum, cobalt, cuprum and copper oxide on vital, metric, weight and biochemical parameters of growth and activity of different crops' phytohormones is studied. The examples of field tests of single treatment of seeds with nanoparticle suspensions at different farms are provided. The increase in photosynthesis as well as in seeds and herbage yield and bioactive substances of plants is proved. The ecological safety of application of biologically active nanoparticles in optimal concentrations is studied. The conclusion about the prospects of nanomaterials as the crop growth and performance stimulators in a case of preliminary ecotoxicological expertise of nanoparticles is drawn.
