Abstract: Iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles have special properties such as stability, biocompatibility and high magnetic saturation that are used for bioapplications. To avoid aggregation of magnetic nanoparticles, their surface must be modified by coating materials. In this paper, we focused on synthesis of iron oxide (IO) nanoparticles with co-precipitation method and coating them with PVP, SiO2 and Au. The FT-IR, XRD, TEM, SEM and EDX show the surface modifications.
