Abstract: The design of a traction control system based on fuzzy logic algorithms is presented in this paper. Depending on the vehicle velocity, the longitudinal slip will be decreased by reducing the servo throttle valve and controlled braking. The parameters of the controller are determined with the help of the three dimensional vehicle dynamics simulation package FASIM. The operation of the ASR will be demonstrated with simulation results for the vehicle model of a Mercedes-Benz W140.
