Entrepreneurial tendencies of aspiring human resources in India: a multivariate analysis

Abstract: Primary data based on 1,835 respondents was analysed by using multinomial logistic regression to discriminate between entrepreneurs and managers and to predict the entrepreneurial tendencies of aspirant human resources. The results derived showed that 15 traits emerged as significant predictors of entrepreneurship. Finally, the study showed that with the increase of educational level the chances of aspirants to move towards entrepreneurship decreased. A distinct contribution of this study was that it included those personality traits that were neglected in the existing entrepreneurial literature. Implications of the study were also discussed.
