Explorations into faculty attitudes and adoption of innovation: a case study of a proposed video-based teaching program

Abstract: A case study was conducted at a major research university to explore faculty attitudes toward a proposed video-based continuing education program. The study sought to determine which faculty characteristics predicted favorability to the project, and how formative research techniques might be used as an information base with which to fine-tune program features, thus increasing faculty advocacy and diminishing objections.
