Continuing education for adults at the Technical University of Gdansk

Abstract: This paper provides information on extra-mural and distance studies, as well as postgraduate and professional training courses, organised by the Technical University of Gdansk. The principles of organisation and running the studies and courses are discussed and illustrated by selected statistical data. Some details of the most popular studies and courses are also presented. Conclusions are drawn as to the trends in continuing education in the period of economic and political transformation accompanied by a recession in Poland.
