Abstract: The codes obtained from a ternary extremal self-dual [12m,6m,3m+3] code by subtracting T4 on any four distinct coordinates are ternary extremal self-dual [12m - 4,6m - 2,3m] codes for a positive integer m. We have classified the codes obtained from the currently known extremal self-dual codes of length 12m by subtracting T4 for m = 2,3,4 and 5.
