Robust reliability design of a nuclear system by multiple objective evolutionary optimisation
by Daniel E. Salazar, Claudio M. Rocco, Enrico Zio
International Journal of Nuclear Knowledge Management (IJNKM), Vol. 2, No. 3, 2007

Abstract: This paper proposes the use of multiple objective evolutionary algorithms and interval arithmetic for the robust reliability design of complex systems such as those employed in nuclear engineering. A numerical example, relative to the residual heat removal system of a nuclear power plant, is presented to illustrate the benefits of the approach.
