Abstract: In this paper, the influence of various boundary conditions on the frequency response of three layered plates is analysed using higher order theory of shear deformation. The facesheets are laminated orthotropic composite based on Mindlin theory (or FSDT). Utilising method of energy and principle of Hamilton, the equations of motion are obtained considering continuity boundary conditions between layers. The mode shapes and frequency of the plate are calculated applying method of differential quadrature (DQM). The influences of various parameters of facesheets to ratio of core stiffness ratio, boundary conditions and core to face sheet thickness are shown on the frequency of the system. Numerical results indicate that the frequency of the CCCC and CFFF sandwich plates predicted the higher and lower frequency, respectively.
