Abstract: Decision making about the superior method to produce products is essential to growth and dynamism of productive organisations. In this regard, utilising a model to evaluate the comprehensive performance of different manufacturing methods is significant. In addition, defining and finding the suitable indexes of decision making is required to the proper implementation of performance evaluation system. Thus, in this study, it is attempted to select the best production method and to supply material using data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). In this regard, the performance of ball valve production in Petro Nab Sepahan Manufacturing Company is assessed and ranked using these two methods by considering dimensions such as quality, cost and function as well as acquired measures.
Keywords: performance assessment; analytic hierarchy process; AHP; data envelopment analysis; DEA; simple additive weight; SAW; ball valve.
