Abstract: Emergency medical services (EMS) refer to various healthcare related services. Like several other EMS activities, ambulance site selection for fastest service to improve the chance of saving a human life is indeed a very important activity in developing countries. Besides other factors, uncertainty in demand of ambulance at a particular location depends on the type of casualty, its service time, and its availability from the nearest service point. The relocation model of ambulances in emergency is one of the typical oldest optimisation problems. In case of a distributed setup, the complexity of these algorithms increases exponentially with the increase of the number of constraints. In this work we try to find an alternative frame work to reduce EMS time using latest art of the technologies along with other additional EMS services at a reasonable cost using a generalised stochastic Petri net (GSPN).
