Abstract: Waste management in Baguio City has drawn a lot of attention due to significant events that challenged its implementation and effectiveness. The city is moving towards the implementation of its proposed integrated solid waste management system. This research provides a springboard to the government's capacity planning and selection of appropriate combination of waste management technologies through more accurate estimates of solid waste generation. Models were developed using data on waste generation and selected predictor variables. The current model used for planning purposes deviates a lot from the actual waste generated as evident in the evaluation indicators. Initially, the alternative solid waste generation models were formulated using selected demographic and economic indicators, but only population (growth) was identified to be significantly contributing to the increase in solid waste generation. It is then imperative to use the regression model to predict waste generation (Y) using population (X) as the only variable given by the equation Y = 1601.825 + 0.035X.
