Abstract: In optical networks, transfer of data happens at long-haul in form of light. While transmitting data at long distance make sure that the delivery of data and quality of service must guarantee. To ensure the QoS, delivery of data, the network environment must be a fault tolerance. In this paper a novel algorithm, Fault Alarm and Location Algorithm is launched for detecting and locating the fault occurrence in network to create fault tolerance environment.
