Particular attention has been paid to the relations between organisations in an ecosystem and in the stakeholder model. The aims will be realised through discussing the following research questions: Q1) What is the characteristic structure and the traits of business ecosystem? Q2) What epistemological grounds do business ecosystem ideas grow on? Q3) What are epistemological toots of the stakeholder theory? Q4) What are the typical traits of the stakeholder idea used in strategic management? Finally, the criteria differentiating the two concepts have been presented and a comparison of stakeholder versus business ecosystem has been carried out.
