Abstract: Instability in current control at light loads is the main drawback of three-phase rectifiers based on one-cycle control. To overcome this difficulty, in this paper, a modified one-cycle control for three-phase four-leg rectifier is proposed. A voltage proportional to the phase voltage has been added to the output of phase current sensors. This additional voltage is depended on output power that is in contrast of this paper. The sum of this voltage and three-phase output current sensors is compared with the bipolar sawtooth waveform to produce the switches pulses. This combination not only performs stability in rectifier operation at light loads, but also DC link voltage is held constant. Simulation results are done to verify the performance of improved one-cycle control applied to the three-phase four-leg rectifier.
