Abstract: The article presents results of the meta-analysis focused on papers dealing with learning styles within the process of learning enhanced by modern technologies. The research question is whether any longitudinal changes appeared in this field within the last years. The study is structured in three main parts: 1) A brief overview of traditional approaches to learning styles is presented and their role in the process of learning and e-learning is defined. 2) Results of meta-analysis of articles dealing with learning styles in the e-learning environment are presented. No significant changes were discovered, however, some development was detected, particularly the decrease in amounts of papers in computer sciences, changes on the upper secondary level and in the use of the method of experiment; the increase appeared in social sciences, in the primary education and the exploitation of the observation method. 3) The results are discussed in the context of latest publications.
