Abstract: With the development of Web 2.0 techniques, more and more learning management systems are developed to assist teaching and learning in higher schools. However, current systems lack interactive interactions between instructors and pupils. To address this limitation, this paper explores mobile instant messaging and self-service to leverage learner participation for collaborative teaching. We design a mobile learning management system using WeChat platform APIs to archive this goal. The architecture, features and discussions are given to present the advantages of this system. Some survey results ranging from adoption, satisfaction and psychological comfort present the feasibility of our system.
