Abstract: Adoption of ERP systems is becoming a big challenge to the enterprises. Several personal, managerial and organisational issues contribute to successful adoption. This research paper attempts to identify potential issues that lead to successful adoption of ERP systems in enterprises. A vast research has been done on identifying different issues that contribute to satisfactory adoption of ERP systems in organisations. Questionnaires were developed around the significant influencing issues reported in literature and the feedback of industry people having good experience with ERP systems. Exploratory factor analysis was applied on the feedback data to derive prominent factors that contribute to successful adoption of ERP systems. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was also applied to further examine the derived constructs. From the results, it is found that the implementation issues and cultural issues together establish a strong base for successful adoption of ERP systems in organisations.
