Abstract: This study investigates resilience policies in a manufacturing system which is exposed to many risks during the product life cycle (PLC). These risks may disturb the performance of system during the PLC and resilience is a useful issue in such cases, since it is the ability of system to successfully confront the unforeseen. Resilience strategies have been considered during the PLC, which consists of five phases: birth, growth, maturity, saturation and decline. The convenient strategies at each stage for confronting the disturbance occurrence are achieved. A closed-form formula for growth stage is proposed and a numerical example is developed. The theoretical and practical implication of this study is for companies with wishes to develop the new products and want to minimise the influences of unforeseen. The main contribution of this paper is proposing the best strategy for each stage of the PLC and mathematical modelling in one stage.
