Abstract: This paper attempts to elaborate upon various aspects of the impact of IT outsourcing from the USA to developing countries and illustrates how the profits of outsourcing are not necessarily the only indicators of impact. This paper focuses primarily on the impact of IT outsourcing on the educational ecosystem of developing countries like India. The paper explains both pros and cons of outsourcing from a developing country's point of view, especially in context of education.
