Abstract: This paper concerns the study of structural controllability of linear time varying systems. It proposes a new method for the determination on controllability matrix based on bond graph models. Based on graphical approach, this method is ascertained through inspection of causal paths in the bond graph and the number of energy storage elements in integral causality along this causal path. Some examples extracted from literature are presented to illustrate the applicability of this method.

Keywords: linear time varying; LTV systems; controllability matrix; bond graphs; structural analysis; causal paths; energy storage element; integral causality.
