Abstract: ProtoGENI experiments are an important aspect of decision making on preferred mechanisms to achieve the intended features of future internet development. ProtoGENI experiments are also a way to evaluate the strength of its infrastructure and functions which can facilitate researchers for innovative experiments. ProtoGENI requires rigorous observation and implementation improvements to achieve the intended functionality in global environment for network innovations (GENI). This work's focus is stating and explaining the initial and essential setup for ProtoGENI experiments. Experiments are performed to observe the alternate, multiple, functioning options to set and execute network experiments. Observations are documented to understand the complexity of experimental setup, which also underlines the points of conflicts, inconsistency, and non-functionality of some ProtoGENI operations. Documentation of experiments environment, experiments design, results, and analysis including many observations is helpful to understand the basic functioning to improve the overall functioning of ProtoGENI.
