Abstract: This study was conducted to investigate the inclusion of the Zn/S-nanoparticles in the Schiff-based polyamide producing nanocomposite material with higher thermal stability properties. The Zn/S-nanoparticles were synthesised by the reaction of zinc acetate with Thioacetamide in Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The thermal properties of polyamide, which was filled with nanoparticles, has been tested and the changes of the different temperatures as Tg (the glass temperature), Tc (the crystallisation temperature) and Tm (the melting temperature) has been recorded. It is concluded that the addition of the nanoparticles leads to polymers' thermal stability enhancement by more than 50°C.
