Abstract: Different layers of ZnO films have been synthesised onto glass substrate by spin coating technique. The effect of different layers on the crystallinity and morphology of ZnO films have been investigated. The crystallographic analysis of different layers of ZnO films shows hexagonal wurtzite structure. However, the crystalline quality of ZnO having seven layers is most prominent in compared to the other layered ZnO films. Fibre nature of ZnO has been observed in the scanning electron micrographs. The densification of the fibres increases with the increased number of layers. The length and width of fibre like structures lie between 4-15 μm and 0.9-2 μm respectively.
