Abstract: This study aims to show the teachers' views about the relation between the lessons of mathematics and the visual arts, and to define the correlation among the attitudes of seventh grade students towards mathematics and visual arts lessons. In this study, 32 students and eight teachers took part. In the study, the combined approach method was adopted by making use of both quantitative and qualitative data (Johnson and Christensen, 2010). At the end of the study, it was revealed that mathematics and visual arts courses are closely related and these courses interact in terms of their negative and positive attitudes.

Keywords: mathematics education; visual arts education; student attitudes; correlation; interdisciplinary relationships.
