Abstract: In order to study the dynamical model of the process in which the motor speed suddenly changes when the centrifugal pump water supply system works at steady state, the experiment of model identification under speed regulation operating condition was conducted based on the design of water supply experimental system with speed regulating. The experiment was designed based on the step response method. The ARX, ARMAX, state-space models and the process models were tested in MATLAB tool box. The obtained second order difference equation and second order transfer function indicated that the consideration of the water supply system as a second order system is advisable.
