Abstract: Cloud computing is a new standard that promises improved deployment of software and hardware resources in the shortest possible time and at the most affordable price. Cloud computing is highly appropriate for deploying various types of e-learning systems. Until now, e-learning technologies have relied on conventional web-based technologies to disseminate course material. Recently, there have been suggestions of integrating social networking principles in the deployment of e-learning technologies. Millions of web users regularly engage in social networking. The present research suggests that it is possible to combine the basic principles of both cloud computing and social networking to derive a new e-learning delivery system that removes many of the bottlenecks present in older systems. This paper proposes a new e-learning model that, by fusing cloud computing with social e-learning, caters to the innumerable needs of both learners and instructors.
