Title: Application of microcomputers in primary health delivery services in Egypt

Abstract: This paper looks at the public and private health services in Egypt, and at the use of computers to process information in the health services. In particular, a pilot project operating in Faiyum is described and its performance is assessed. The paper concludes by stressing the need to involve local staff in the design, management and evaluation of field projects.
