Abstract: In this paper, the focus is on some of the legal aspects that are of importance to those involved in managing information technology. The emphasis is on the protection of the company|s interest on the one hand and protection of individuals on the other hand. It is argued that managing information technology can only be successful when due consideration is given to the various legal aspects.
