Abstract: Designing of a power transmission system of a motor vehicle with a classical gearbox requires taking into account that dynamic properties of this system depend on the gear which is actually switched on. A set of parameters which is beneficial for one gear ratio may appear inappropriate for the other. In this paper, a method of quasi multi-objective optimization has been applied to choose optimal stiffness of springs for the damper of torsional vibrations in the clutch. Due to optimization, the number of resonance velocities of the power transmission system has been reduced.
