Title: The new Toyota Corolla and Sprinter

Abstract: Since their appearance in November 1966, the Toyota Corolla and Sprinter have gained a good reputation among customers in both the Japanese and world-wide markets as large-scale mass-produced passenger cars (Figure 1). Following a third full model change in March 1979, the new Corolla and Sprinter were developed as leading high-performance passenger cars for the 1980s, with particular emphasis being placed on the following factors: 1 Improvement in the interior roominess, driving comfort and quietness. 2 Improvement in the vehicle|s overall performance qualities, such as engine power, stability and brakes. 3 Improvement in economy factors, such as low fuel consumption and durability.
