Abstract: Optical signal transmission systems and their application to vehicle signal and energy distribution are examined. Special attention is given to the question of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of the opto-electric components. Experimental comparison of EMC of traditional conductor based systems and optical systems are presented.
