Abstract: E-government and e-finance are two different but closely related topics, evolved from e-commerce and e-business. Literature says that what e-government basically does is to utilise the current information technology, internet technology and e-commerce practices to provide citizens and organisations with easier access to government information and services and deliver public services to those who need them. However, e-government will not be a complete concept without e-finance and some other e-components. This research provides a new framework for the future e-government models and studies the role of e-finance in e-government.

Keywords: e-government; e-finance; e-government framework; electronic government; electronic finance.
