Abstract: Flame emission spectroscopy is the quantitative method of analysis based on determination of intensity of light emitted by a metallic compound in flame. This study was done over a period of three months to evaluate the influence of calibration procedures on flame photometers performance by means of certified tools (digital pressure indicator, standard calibrator, etc.), the comparison of readings pre and post calibration showed a positively variations in readings Na and K level in controls serum after calibration which improved the importance of accurately calibration procedures for using flame photometer instrument.
