Abstract: Survival of the fittest describes the today's business environment. As there is competition everywhere performance of the project has always been an important and critical issue for any business. No doubt, this competition has increased the responsibilities of project management to reduce waste of scare resources in the project. As a project manager, it is necessary to enhance and assess the project management performance for success of the project. So to assess project management performance good tools are needed in order to achieve organisational competitiveness. This paper presents study to examine which operational factors have stronger impact for the enhancement of the project management performance in Saudi Arabian industrial organisations and also to investigate the correlation between the various operational and performance criteria. A descriptive and relational survey was attempted for empirical analysis. The results reveal that the deployment of project management performance evaluation model has positive and significant impact over project management performance. The case analysis shows that among all of the operational criteria the leadership has highest impact over the project management performance followed by project life cycle, the policies and strategies.
