Abstract: Based on the data of the 'survey on technological innovation 1998-2000', a database with the Spanish manufacturing companies that make innovation activities was constructed. Later, we formulated a model, in which the corporative strategy, the differentiation strategy, the costs leadership strategy, the organisational structure and the absorption capacity of I&D, was related with the probability of establishing I&D cooperation agreements. Next, we have made contrasts' using the statistical technique of binary logistic regression. On the matter, the contrasts indicate that the variables corporative strategy, differentiation strategy and absorption capacity influences significantly the probability of cooperation among companies, whereas the costs leadership strategy and organisational structure changes has no influence at all; in addition, its corresponding relation with the probability of cooperation is not significant.
