Abstract: People in China and India, the two largest developing countries, are relying increasingly on the web for health related information. As a result, the quality of online health information becomes critical due to its profound implications on peoples' health. A lack of research exists in literature on the quality of online health information available in developing countries, especially for China and India. In this paper, we perform a comparative analysis of the quality of online health information in China and India using the USA as the benchmark and provide recommendations for improvements to health information portals in these two countries.
