Abstract: In the literature, it is pointed that in several situations it is better to use interval-valued fuzzy numbers instead of triangular or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. But to the best of our knowledge, till now there is method that deals with the sensitivity analysis of such linear programming problems in which some or all the parameters are represented by interval-valued fuzzy numbers. In this paper, a new method is proposed for the same. To illustrate the proposed method an interval-valued fuzzy sensitivity analysis problem which can't be solved by any of the existing methods is solved by using the proposed method.

Keywords: fuzzy linear programming; sensitivity analysis; interval-valued fuzzy numbers; ranking function.
