Abstract: This paper discusses some important technologies and methods that are used to investigate the influence of ionising radiation on bones. The goal is to select the best technology among them for investigating X-ray irradiation influence on the structural imperfections in the surface and subsurface material (depth of about 10 nm or less) of bone. Exoemission spectroscopy has a large advantage over the other methods because it allows study of the electron structure (structure of bands, local states) alteration in time and temperature. Since electron structure variations also reflect the rearrangement of the spatial structure, this method is among the best that can be used for this purpose.
