Abstract: A new comprehensive analysis of the monthly surface temperatures published data in the northern and southern hemispheres is presented. Linear regressions between surface temperatures and CO2 concentrations at consecutive latitude geographical regions indicated that there is a systematic opposite global warming effect between mirror regions on the northern and southern hemispheres during local winters and summers. The validity of the analysis is first tested against well known estimation of the global warming. This completely independent regression procedure produced estimated global temperature rise result during the last century which is in very good agreement with that estimated in IPCC 2007 report.
