Abstract: The World Wide Web is the fastest growing information conduit in the Information Age. It brings new capabilities for information access and exchange in a boundless universe. This paper attempts to harness user behavioural processes involved with the use of a web interface. Drawing upon existing theories of behaviour and communication, an integrated framework is proposed in the light of this emerging phenomenon. Implications of the framework and directions for further research are also discussed.

Keywords: world wide web; internet; user behaviour processes; hyperspace; web interface.
