Abstract: The dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration is an important parameter in wastewater treatment process. It must be kept within a particular range when the unit plant is running. Considering the characteristics of the time-delay, inertia and time-varying of DO, the paper introduces a new type of robust PID controller that can assure stability when parameter and time delay are mismatched with the controller. Simulation result shows that this control strategy has good robustness and effectiveness in model mismatching situation, and provides an effective way to solve the control difficulty problem of DO.
