Abstract: This paper presents the effect of electric discharge drilling process parameters viz., peak current, pulse on-time, duty factor and electrode speed on material removal rate (MRR) and depth averaged surface roughness (DASR). The experiments were carried out on Inconel 718 super-alloy work material using graphite electrode. The experiments were designed according to central composite design procedure. To analyse the effect of process parameters on output responses, polynomial empirical models were developed using the response surface methodology. The experimental results revealed that MRR is strongly influenced by the factors peak current, pulse on-time and electrode rotation. The DASR is more influenced by peak current and pulse on-time.
