Abstract: The main goal of the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Transportation by Air (Warsaw Convention) was to establish a legal framework for carriage of passengers, luggage and goods. Since then, various national and international laws have been enacted regulating air carrier|s liabilities to passengers and baggage. This paper will discuss the air carrier|s liability in the international transportation in the event of accidents to passengers. It will analyse the damages sustained in the event of death, wounding or any other bodily injury to a passenger if the accident in question took place on board an aircraft or during any of the embarking or disembarking operations.
