Abstract: Corporate venturing in family firms is analysed through a strategic management process framework. Integrating the family firm and corporate venturing literatures within the framework suggests a number of areas where the unique characteristics of family firms might influence the adoption of corporate venturing. Potential research questions surrounding these areas are presented and future research directions are discussed.
