Abstract: This paper addresses effects of the minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) in pulsed jet mode on the surface integrity aspects of superalloy Inconel 718 when subjected to high speed machining. Investigation done in this study, consider different cutting conditions with respect to the surface roughness, topography and microhardness of the machined surfaces. From the experimental study, it was observed that application of cutting fluid under pulsed jet mode results into better surface finish and minimum material side flow. Moreover, the work hardening rate of the machined surface is reduced considerably compared to dry high speed turning.
