Abstract: Korea as a nation operates its global supply chain to design, produce and deliver diverse products and services to customers throughout the world. As an overview of Korean industries, we focus on how Korean manufacturing and service industries have developed their operational capabilities and business performances with global supply chain perspectives. This paper presents: 1) a research framework; 2) a summary of the evolution of Korean manufacturing and service industries toward global supply chain; 3) a typology of global supply chain.
