Abstract: We present a novel approach for integrated management of networks and information systems, based on the specification of executable behaviour models. A model processing plane is introduced, consisting of a number of processing units that together form an autonomic system. This allows operators to directly execute management processes in the network through semiautomatic transformation, partitioning and deployment of the behaviour models. Feasibility of the approach is demonstrated using a case study.
